Can somebody tell me is it possible to buy a factory rebuild gearbox for SAAB 900 M90-93 in Finland?

In Finland we have only the same factory service points and retail sales as any other country has. I believe, that a whole, fully repaired gearbox is not possible to purchase anymore also to your type of model, mainly due to the age of the vehicle. Only some parts to the inside of the casing (mainly new bearings and gearwheels etc.) are still available.
In these type of cases where a whole new gearbox is to be changed in to a vehicle we usually relay on strip-downed -parts from vehicles that are crashed or are simply so rusted, that they are only suitable for giving up parts to other models that are similar enough and, of course, the parts concerned are interchangeable. This comes also much cheaper than trying to repair a broken box with new parts, that are very expensive, not to mention the labour costs.
There are few businesses in the web that are located in Finland that sell inspected parts that also have a mild quarantee. You should of course speak Finnish in order to understand the contents and to operate on the pages but here is one: http://www.takuupurkamot.fi

Couple of years ago http://www.tammerdiesel.fi/ had rebuild gear boxes in stock. They also sold complete machined/rebuild gearbox + engine combinations. You should ask if they still have gearboxes or if they would rebuild one.
Novadays Tammerdiesel does not have complete saab 900 engines on stock, but they do engines. You must deliver your engine there and they rebuild it. I don't know policy of rebuilding gearboxes. Best way to find out is to make a phone call over there.
