Too much play in steering

Moro Saab Experts,

I own a '91 Saab 900S OG and it is in perfectly good condition....

... expect that there is some play in the steering and the car is 'wandering' quite a bit at high speed.

Even though the gap is around 2 cm (rough estimation) the car still passed the inspection.

Any idea what can be the problem, and how to fix it?

My Saab is doing the same thing, goes smooth on low speeds but 100km/h and higher it's allmost inpossible to keep it going straight.

And when it's windy from side, driving is nightmare.

2 mm not 2 cm i suppose , because 2 mm is the max allowed for track rail end.

Many items can be the reason. like wrong toe- in, and other angles of the wheels, worn out rubber bushings of the reaction arms of the back axle, bad bumpers, bad wheels etc.

Perhaps it is better to visit a garage with this issue..

Does anyone know someone with excellent Saab 900 steering repair skills in Oulu area?

I don't want to bring it to a place where they replace almost everything for a bunch of EURs just because of a minor thing....
