Saab Cars USA Inc.'s new entry-level 9-2X hasn't jumped out of the blocks in a full sprint, but a top executive forecasts that sales of the all-wheel-drive car will spurt as colder weather sets in.
Through September Saab has sold 28,915 cars this year. That's off 23% from the 37,549 units sold in like-2003. Kelly-Ennis forecasts 2004 will finish with just under 40,000 sales, which would mark a steep drop from last year’s record 47,914 deliveries.
"Saab has had a very difficult year," she notes.
