Hi!
Driving onto the highway on saturday night, I heard a *bang* and just saw the glass from my driver's side wing mirror blow onto the Turku motorway.
I thought this was a minor inconvenience, but it turns out to be more of a pain: I called Jalonen this morning and they don't have the glass in stock, and Saab doesn't have stock and nobody knows when this glass will be available again.
I think I'll swap it with a scrapyard mirror if I can find one - any recommendations for salvage yards (or online salvage yard search engines) in the Espoo area?
I only know AVK, but they only have one (in Oulu) and €160 seems a little excessive.
Thanks!
E-
Lost wing mirror
Re: Lost wing mirror
Hi,
Are these the ones, year model compatibility seems correct?
Select suitable for your price range
Aftermarket:

OEM:
http://www.partsforsaabs.com/product_in ... ts_id=2881
If the scrapyard availability and prices were what you mentioned, I would forget them. They tend always to be quite expensive places to purchase parts even you would think otherwise, no difference what scrapyard to purchase from...
Anyhow, nationwide scrapyard part search:

Re: Lost wing mirror
Thanks - it seems €160 was at the low end of the scrapyard price range! It may be cheaper to buy a second 9-3 for parts...
I found the PFS site, and noticed that Ebay also seems to be a good place to buy the mirrors.
So much for recycling...
